Job Descriptions

I. Pilot/Co-Pilot (PILOT):
Operate aircraft, as pilot or co-pilot, in support of a PRS detail(s).

Responsibilities:
• Plan and carry out those duties assigned to him/her by the PM
• Prepare flight plans in support of assigned missions
• Maintain active and accurate flight records

Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizen
• Level 3 English proficiency
• A commercial pilot, rotorcraft-helicopter instrument rating
• A current medical certificate
• Total of 3,500 hours of flight time, with at least 500 hours using night vision goggles
• Served either in a high-risk environment or a U.S. military combat tour

II. PSS/Door Gunner (DG):
Protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders.

Responsibilities:
• Operate the helicopter’s door gun
• Perform as delineated in paragraph 2.5b


III. Aircrew Member (ACM):
Coordinate activities in cargo/personnel compartments of aircraft.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise loading and unloading of cargo/personnel
• Ensure proper arrangement of cargo/personnel within the aircraft
• Otherwise assist pilot/co-pilot in operational functions

Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizen
• Level 2 English proficiency
• 3 years of Military Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) experience as an aircrew member

IV. Lead Aviation Mechanic (LAM):
Day-to-day management of aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Supervises aviation mechanics in the following:
• Maintain the helicopter
• Maintain aircraft records
• Ensure that scheduled maintenance is performed on time
• Order required spare parts

Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizen
• Level 3 English proficiency
• An Airframe and Power (A&P) license, with turbine aircraft experience

V. Aviation Mechanic (AM):
Day-to-day maintenance of the aircraft.

Files flight plans verifying weather conditions, flight route, and schedule. Receive and Orders changes in fuel supply, load, route, or schedule to insure safety of flight. Reads gauges to verify that oil, hydraulic fluid, and fuel quantities are at prescribed levels prior to starting engines. Starts engines and performs maintenance operational checks on aircraft systems to verify operational readiness. Contacts control tower by radio to obtain takeoff clearance and instructions. Pilot aircraft adhering to flight plan, regulations and procedures of the Federal Government, company, and supported customer. Logs information, such as flight time, landings, and fuel consumed. Must hold current MTP certifications and able to pass an Army flight physical. Must convert to a Louisiana drivers license.

Experience/Training requirements:

A certified Maintenance Test Pilot with a minimum of five years experience or equivalent training; as a maintenance test pilot and 1500 hours flight time on UH-60 rotary aircraft is required. Candidate must be a high school graduate or completed an equivalent educational program. Candidate must possess steel toed safety shoes. Must consent to drug testing and, if required, be approved for a security clearance.

Per Diem and Travel Reimbursement will be paid at Joint Travel Regulation Rates and/or Contract Rates when authorized.

JOB TITLE Chief Pilot Papillon Las Vegas

LOCATION Las Vegas, NV

REPORTS TO Vice President, Las Vegas Operation

REQUIREMENTS Requires three years of operational/managerial experience under FAR part 135 or 121. Prefer experience in AS350 & EC130. Professional manner, willingness to travel, and excellent communication skills are essential. Residence in the local area upon hiring is required.

SKILLS Expertise in rotary wing flight operations; ability to use standard office software; excellent communication skills; ability to work professionally in diverse and rapidly changing circumstances; ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; ability to prioritize and manage multiple work projects; ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization; ability to favorably represent the company; excellent leadership skills; ability to interpret and apply technical data.

DUTIES and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

1. Directs all training activities of flight and ground crew members.

2. Assists the Director of Operations in formulating operations, policies, coordinates operations policies, coordinates operation and training matters with appropriate activities.

3. Advises the Director of Operations on the status of flight operations and the training of the flight crew members and is responsible for the crew members standardization.

4. Conducts interviews for the purpose of hiring pilots. Initiates action for discharging said personnel.

5. Insures prompt reporting, filing and follow-up action on accident reports and correspondence pertaining to operation’s activities.

6. Prepares and maintains pilot records, flight schedules, reports and correspondence pertaining to operation’s activities.

7. Maintains current inventory of aeronautical charts and publications.

8. Maintains current aircraft check lists and flight manuals.

9. Submits to the FAA all reports required, pertaining to flight crews.
